Salford based Glendale Foods was founded by Gill and John Mortimer in 1982 and has continued to grow ever since with both of them working in the business today. After a merger in 2007 with Supreme Foods, who were also based at the Cobden Street site, the company formed a senior management team with Mark Jones as Operations Director, John Mortimer as Chairman, Gill Mortimer as HR Director and Paul Burkitt as Managing Director.
A management team with over 100 years combined knowledge in meat and food processing for the retail, foodservice, wholesale and bespoke concepts market, Mark & Paul bring a wealth of experience from over 45 years combined knowledge from their time with Plumtree Farms, Freshbake Foods, J T Blakeman and Jones Sausage Co.
With all this experience the business has knowledge of the Retail, Foodservice, Wholesale and Bespoke Concepts markets. We work with meats, vegetables and flour based products. Our customers range from retailers, independent wholesalers, major food manufacturers, airlines, frozen foodservice distributors and pub & restaurant groups. Our own brands include Yankee snacks, The Great British Pudding Company and Unique Cuisine.
